But Sati could never heal from the wound to keep to please his fathers disagreement. While Shiva was carefree and careless about Daksh's opinion, Sati wanted her father's approval!
Once Daksha organized a huge yagya and invited all the gods, sages, and king and intentionally excluding Shiva and his own daughter, Sati. She wanted to be part of the yagya ceremony eve though Shiva warned her because he knew already how this can go. When Sati arrived, Daksha completely ignored and harshly insulted Shiva in front of all yajmaans.
This experience truly humiliated her and she decided to sacrifice herself in the yogic fire out of rage. Sati used her inner yogic powers to generate a sacred fire and immolate her body.
Upon learning of Sati's death, Shiva was consumed by grief and furious rage. He tore a lock of his matted hair and cast it upon the ground, giving rise to the fierce warriors Virabhadra and Bhadrakali. Virabhadra’s army completely destroyed and a created complete havoc, finally severing Daksha's head.
Shiva was grieving in pain.
Shiva had lost his wife.
Shiva was doing his taandav of destruction.
As Shiva carried Sati’s sorrowful remains burning body across the universe, Lord Vishnu could not see the destruction and pain that came with it and used his Sudarshan Chakra to cut the body into 51 pieces so Shiva could find peace and finally let go. The places where her body parts fell became the sacred Shakti Peeth across the Indian.
And that's when Shiva went back to his solitude!
Another Parallel universe tells another Story !
When King Daksha insulted Lord Shiva and did not invite Sati and Shiva to his yajna, Sati decided to go anyway. When Shiva tried to stop her or walk away, Sati assumed a terrifying, cosmic form.
To block Shiva from leaving or escaping in any direction, Sati multiplied herself into ten fierce forms—guarding the four cardinal directions, four intermediate directions, above, and below.
These ten manifestations became the Das Mahavidyas guiding human consciousness to grow and overcome the cycle of birth and death;
Shiva represents passive, silent, unchanging awareness whereas true awakening requires a human being to stop filtering out the "uncomfortable" parts of existence (loss, anger, time, decay, and chaos).
he Dasha Mahavidyas represent ten powerful manifestations of Maa Adi Shakti, each revealing a different aspect of divine wisdom, consciousness, and transformation.
